Based in Montalcino, Banfi S.R.L. holds an unusual portfolio: five DOCG denominations that all look to Piemonte. The range extends from the structured reds of Barbera d'Asti, spread across 165 municipalities, to the more delicate Arneis of Terre Alfieri, passing through Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato and the two sweet aromatic wines of the Asti-Acqui area, Asti and Brachetto d'Acqui. Five distinct zones, brought together under a single direction. The winery combines artisanal work with technological precision to interpret contemporary palates without detaching from the original terroir. Each bottle carries a dual intention: to honor the legacy of Tuscan Brunello and, at the same time, to engage with the evolving tastes of those, anywhere in the world, who seek authenticity. It's a project that thrives on the distance between Montalcino and the Piemontese hills, making it a defining characteristic.
