BERLUTI LORENA
Ancona · Province of Ancona · Marche
Berluti Lorena is based in Ancona, where the Conero hills offer ideal exposure and drainage for Montepulciano. On this foundation, the producer crafts her Cònero DOCG reds, full-bodied and tannic wines reaching 12.5 percent alcohol and maturing for at least two years, suitable for aged cheeses and game. Montepulciano and Sangiovese grow here in balance, guided by the exposure and careful agronomic management. Around this benchmark red, three other DOCG wines expand the portfolio: two Verdicchio Riserve, one from Matelica and one from Castelli di Jesi, showcase the work on long-aged whites, while Vernaccia di Serrapetrona adds the sparkling wine chapter. Five decades of viticulture thus take the form of four denominations. Visitors to the winery can taste them side-by-side, appreciating how a single producer can navigate the red, white, and sparkling wines of the Marche region.
