In Nizza Monferrato, nestled between Langhe and Monferrato, Bersano manages 230 hectares and a history of transitions: from Arturo Bersano's founding to the generations of the Massimelli family, now led by Federica. Three guaranteed denominations—`Barbera d'Asti`, `Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato`, and `Terre Alfieri`—mark the scope of their work, all built on native Piemontese grape varieties: `Barbera` as the backbone, `Ruchè` with its fragrant texture, and the white and red spectrum of `Terre Alfieri`. But the winery is not just about winemaking. Ten farmhouses (`cascine`) and several museums preserve centuries of agricultural work, connecting contemporary practice with the rural memory that precedes it. It is this dual nature—productive and conservative—that distinguishes the company.
