🏡 Tastings & visitsBarbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG

From Canelli, in the Asti region, Bocchino Giuseppe cultivates vineyards distributed across three distinct DOCG zones. The range spans from Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato to Terre Alfieri and Barbera d'Asti: three denominations, three sets of regulations, three soil profiles that the winery brings together without homogenizing them. It's a Piemontese spectrum that alternates aromatic reds with the more classic styles of the province. Behind it lies a family history spanning two centuries: as early as the 1830s, Felice was exporting wine to America in small wooden barrels, opening transatlantic routes. The current generation reinterprets that pioneering spirit through conscious experimentation and meticulous cellar work, transforming the fruit into wines of recognizable quality. The winery is open for visits: those who come to Canelli can personally explore the three DOCGs, comparing Barbera, Ruchè, and Terre Alfieri to grasp, glass after glass, how the register changes from one denomination to another within the same Monferrato astigiano area.
