Bucciarelli – Antico Podere Casanova

In Castellina in Chianti, the Bucciarelli family has nurtured Antico Podere Casanova since 1926, a small estate deeply rooted in the viticulture of this corner of Chianti. There is only one denomination, Chianti Classico DOCG, made from Sangiovese alongside other indigenous red grape varieties, on land that has alternated between vines and olive trees for generations. The compact size of the estate is reflected in its product: a Chianti Classico that speaks of its undulating landscape, horizons marked by cypress trees, and a craft handed down for nearly a century. Here, the territory is not a backdrop, but the true author of the wine, and family continuity does the rest. The estate welcomes visitors to taste its wines and explore the surrounding Tuscan countryside: a stop as rewarding for the glass as for the landscape in which that glass takes shape, amidst rows of vines and olive trees vying for the same hillside.
