🏡 Tastings & visitsBarbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG
Maurizio Calcagni works the heights above Albugnano, where white limestone soil yields Nebbiolo in purity from the steep Montasso vineyard. His command spans three Piedmont DOCG zones: Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, where Ruchè and Barbera meet alpine air; Terre Alfieri, a stage for both Arneis whites and Nebbiolo reds; and Barbera d'Asti, aged a minimum of four months to build structure. Each wine carries the precision of terrain—chalky, mineral-driven—and the family's two centuries at this medieval stronghold refashioned into a working estate.
