POGGIO GRANDE

In 1999, Luca Zamperini transformed a personal vision into Poggio Grande, a certified organic estate in Castiglione d'Orcia where Sangiovese vines flourish across six hectares. Today, his daughter Giulitta continues the family's stewardship of the vineyard and its adjacent four hectares of olives, both anchored in the UNESCO-protected Val d'Orcia landscape. The estate's Orcia DOC reds—from fresh rosato to age-worthy riserva—reflect Tuscan rural traditions paired with measured innovation. Visitors arrive for tastings to witness how two generations honor the terroir's singular character.
