In the steep alpine landscapes of Val Camonica, where the ancient road climbing toward the Tonale Pass branches off toward the high village of Cevo, Berzo Demo nurtures a distinct mountain terroir. This unique geography shapes 16 protected denominations, led by the alpine Valcamonica IGT wines, which are cultivated across a tight zone of just 24 municipalities. Two local producers carry on these steep-slope agricultural traditions within the municipal borders, with one cellar currently open to welcome travelers for tastings. Beyond alpine viticulture, the area's pastures also contribute to famed regional cheeses like Provolone Valpadana DOP.
