499 Az. Agr. presents the classic sequence of the Langhe, working with four denominations, all DOCG. The heart of their range is Nebbiolo, in its dual expression as Barolo, structured and destined for thirty-eight months of aging, and Barbaresco, more slender and ready after a minimum of twenty-six months. Around these two pillars revolve the expressions of Dolcetto, a grape variety native to the entire area and interpreted here in two distinct ways. Dolcetto itself splits into two: Dogliani, more agile and spread across twenty-one municipalities, and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, with a more concentrated and compact fruit. It's a portfolio built on four levels, covering the entire breadth of the Langhe terroirs, from reds for long aging to more immediate drinking. The winery thus demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the territory, where each denomination occupies a precise step between readiness and aging potential, offering an orderly portrait of the Langhe vineyard.
