Abruzzo DOCCerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOCControguerra DOC+3

From its base in Morro d'Oro, in the Teramo area, Abbazia di Propezzano navigates the main terroirs of Abruzzese wine, with access to six protected denominations covering the region's entire color spectrum. The reds are born from Montepulciano, a pivotal grape variety: in the Villamagna area, where at least ten months of aging sculpts its structure, and in the broader Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, where the grape finds its most widespread expression. Alongside the reds, the estate produces whites from Trebbiano—both *abruzzese* and *toscano*—also offered in a *riserva* version under the Trebbiano d'Abruzzo and Abruzzo denominations, and rosés, entrusted to Cerasuolo and the Controguerra area. This breadth, both geographical and stylistic, is not dispersion but knowledge: it presupposes a precise understanding of the clayey and calcareous soils, rich in minerals, that characterize the various Abruzzese slopes. Each denomination imposes its own register, and the producer navigates them while remaining faithful to the identity of the regional grape varieties.
