In Striano, on the volcanic soils of the Vesuvian hinterland, Agriconserve Rega works with a single protected product: Pomodoro San Marzano dell'Agro Sarnese-Nocerino DOP, transformed into whole or sliced peeled tomatoes for Italian and international markets. The cooperative focuses entirely on the characteristics that define this variety—its elongated shape, bright red color, scarcity of seeds, and bittersweet flavor—values protected by the regulations and shaped by the mineral-rich soil. Three brands share the same raw material: Rega, Strianese, and Zia Rosa, each targeting a different sales channel but united by their origin. Behind every can is a vertical cultivation that follows consolidated Campanian practices, where harvesting respects the plant's timing more than market demands. The company does not receive visitors, but the product reaches retailers worldwide as a synthesis of a restricted and recognizable territory.
