Antichi Vigneti F.lli Sculco SRL

On the hills of Cirò and Cirò Marina, where the temperate climate meets clayey soils, Antichi Vigneti F.lli Sculco cultivates thirteen hectares of Gaglioppo and Greco bianco, the indigenous grape varieties that define this stretch of the Ionian coast of Crotone. The management is family-run and entrusted to experienced farmers, who follow every phase according to integrated agronomic practices and in compliance with regulations established in 1969, when the denomination took shape. From here, two contiguous denominations of the Cirò area are born: Cirò DOC, in its red and superiore versions with a minimum alcohol content of 12% vol, and Melissa DOC, which extends the same viticultural landscape slightly further south. Both reflect the consolidated reputation of this district for characterful reds, where Gaglioppo finds its fullest expression. The work in the vineyard and cellar aims for consistency rather than effect, measuring quality by fidelity to the territory and its indigenous grape varieties.
