AZ. AGR. LANARI DI LANARI LUCA
Taking over from his father Leardo, Luca Lanari has steered the estate towards precision viticulture across four top Marche denominations, all DOCG. Selection begins during pruning and becomes rigorous at harvest, when only perfectly ripe grapes enter the cellar; a final pass at the sorting table ensures consistency before aging. The four DOCG wines tell distinct stories of the region. On the Conero, Montepulciano, grown on calcareous soils, yields structured and long-lived reds; inland, the two Verdicchio Riserva—from Matelica and Castelli di Jesi—age for at least eighteen months, developing the mineral complexity that defines great Marche white wine. Completing the picture is Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, a sparkling red from partially dried grapes, a rarity safeguarded by few. The cellar welcomes visitors: it's worth exploring this varied geography in person, from the Conero sea to the inland valleys, to see how a single meticulous method unites full-bodied reds and taut whites.
