Maria Franca Ripa oversees four DOCG denominations in the Macerata hills, each anchored to a distinct terroir. The portfolio can be read along two axes. On the red side, Vernaccia di Serrapetrona coexists, where the black grape yields both sparkling and still red wines, and Cònero, based on Montepulciano, which requires two years of aging before revealing itself. On the white side, the two Verdicchio Riserva wines demonstrate her mastery of varietal expression: the mineral intensity of Matelica on one hand, and the broader, more regional style of Castelli di Jesi on the other, both needing at least eighteen months to find balance. Few producers manage to unite such diverse DOCG categories within the same area, from indigenous sparkling wine to long-aging red. It is a collection that rejects the shortcut of a single style, instead demanding that hand and timing adapt to each grape variety, making the Macerata hills the point where four Marche wine grammars meet under a single management.
