Azienda Agricola Gennari Roberto "Il Verginese"

In Portomaggiore, in the Ferrara area, Roberto Gennari chose the land over university, transforming the family farm into a diversified enterprise: twenty hectares of orchards and arable land stretching alongside the Delizia del Verginese. Since 2001, direct sales have become the sole commercial channel, starting from a simple seasonal point of sale opened on the farm and growing as a natural extension of that daily commitment. The vine arrived later, as a coherent continuation rather than a turning point. It yields Bosco Eliceo DOC wines—Fortana, Merlot, and Sauvignon—produced according to the parameters of the Emilian denomination and born from reclaimed land overlooking the Adriatic. This is a company that tells its story through continuity: no reinvention, but a slow layering of choices linked to family and place.
