Azienda Agricola Roccapesta

In Scansano, within the Morellino controlled and guaranteed denomination zone, Azienda Agricola Roccapesta cultivates its vineyards on the slopes descending towards the Grosseto Maremma. The primary grape variety is Sangiovese, complemented by other black grape varieties permitted in Tuscany, following an approach that prioritizes coherence over ostentation. This results in red wines that meet the minimum alcohol content of 12.5% required by the Morellino di Scansano DOCG, a local interpretation of Sangiovese that here takes on warm, Mediterranean expressions, distinct from those of the more inland hills. The connection to the Grosseto terroir remains the recognizable hallmark of every bottle. The winery welcomes visitors all year round: tastings and vineyard tours allow guests to follow closely the journey from vine to glass and experience firsthand how this corner of the Maremma takes shape in the glass.
