AZIENDA VITIVINICOLA LEPORE

In Colonnella, in the far north of the Teramo wine region, Lepore operates within six protected Abruzzo denominations, ranging from the restricted areas of `Villamagna` and `Controguerra` to the broader perimeters of `Montepulciano d'Abruzzo`, `Trebbiano d'Abruzzo`, `Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo`, and the regional `Abruzzo DOC`. At the heart are two indigenous protagonists: `Montepulciano`, a red grape variety, and `Trebbiano` in its white expressions. From this foundation, the winery produces the entire chromatic spectrum of wine—reds, whites, and rosés—following protocols that leave no room for deviation: reds require at least ten months of aging, while whites adhere to alcohol thresholds set between 11.5 and 13 degrees. The distance between the small `Villamagna` and the regional denominations measures the variety of scale within which Lepore operates, without ever detaching from its Abruzzo roots. It is a production that makes technical precision, rather than catalog breadth, its distinguishing mark, holding six recognitions within a single territorial grammar.
