Barbi

Barbi is among the oldest names in Brunello di Montalcino. Since 1892, the winery has helped set the standard for this Sangiovese-based DOCG, pioneering exports to markets in Europe, America, and Asia when few others looked beyond Italy's borders. It's a trailblazing stance rather than merely a testimonial. Today, under the guidance of Stefano Cinelli Colombini, the estate spans 350 hectares across Montalcino, Scansano, and Chianti, part of the Colombini family's presence that stretches back over six centuries. The heart of their work remains time: forty-eight months in barrel slowly transform the grapes into the blue-labeled wines that have found their way into collectors' cellars worldwide.
