BERLONI GIANNINA

Berloni Giannina oversees four denominations in the Marche region, balanced between reds and whites. The most unique originates from Vernaccia nera, a dark-skinned grape that in Serrapetrona gives rise to both a sparkling wine and a red, a rare dual expression in the regional panorama. The red wine register is completed with Cònero, where Montepulciano and Sangiovese are aged for at least twenty-four months in pursuit of structure and complexity. On the white wine front, the company focuses on the territory's symbolic grape variety, Verdicchio, interpreted through two Riserva wines from different zones: Matelica, which is more inland, and Castelli di Jesi. The two labels share extended aging protocols but tell of distinct terroirs, and together they measure the expressive breadth of a grape that the Marche region has made its own. Four denominations, therefore, kept in order by a precise logic: to enhance for each grape variety the form that best expresses its character, from long-aged white to age-worthy red.
