BORGO CLAUDIUS

In Trivignano Udinese, within the DOC Friuli Aquileia, which encompasses fifteen municipalities, Borgo Claudius interprets a single denomination of the eastern Friulian plain. Here, Friulano grows alongside other white grape varieties suited to the local microclimate, in a corner of the northeast where Adriatic influence and pre-Alpine breezes meet on the lowland soils. The production covers whites, reds, and rosés, all with a minimum alcohol content of over 10%, and immediately conveys the relationship between grape variety and soil: no superfluous mediation, the territory passing directly into the glass.
