Asti DOCG

Cant. Soc. Maranzana is a cooperative operating in the Asti DOCG area, among the 51 Piedmontese municipalities where Moscato bianco and aromatic grape varieties truly excel. The single denomination claimed by the winery, however, branches out in three directions: sweet sparkling wine, metodo classico, and still white wines – three ways of interpreting the same aromatic essence. Each version adheres to the minimum thresholds for the area—11.5% alcohol and one month of aging—yielding ready-to-drink wines that capture the aromatic signature of Monferrato. In the cooperative model, the winery gathers contributions from multiple grape growers and channels them towards a consistent profile, where the grape variety's imprint prevails over individual interpretation. It's a work of synthesis rather than individual signature: the Asti denomination here becomes a vessel capable of embracing diverse styles—sweet effervescence, finer mousse, the stillness of a still wine—without losing the character that links these hills to Moscato bianco.
