From Cirò Marina, in the Crotone area, Cantine Marinello Nicodemo oversees two contiguous denominations on Calabria's Ionian coast. Cirò DOC centers on Gaglioppo and regional reds, offered in *rosso*, *superiore*, and *riserva* styles, each with a minimum alcohol content of 12%: it is the most renowned face of Calabrian viticulture, robust and recognizable. Alongside it, Melissa DOC broadens the palette to include white grape varieties—Greco, Trebbiano, Malvasia—in addition to Gaglioppo itself, articulated in white, red, and *superiore* versions. This dual rootedness in two nearby DOC zones allows the winery to cover a wide range of styles without leaving its area of origin.
