Cantine Villa Regina

In Boscoreale, at the foot of Vesuvius, Cantine Villa Regina cultivates volcanic soils that impart a recognizable mineral tension to its wines. The production scope extends across three denominations that tell as many nuances of the Campanian side: the most structured yields whites, reds, and rosés built on indigenous grape varieties like Piedirosso and Aglianico; a second, with a broader scope, embraces everyday territorial interpretations. Completing the picture is the denomination dedicated to a rare grape, Catalanesca del Monte Somma, cultivated on the slopes overlooking Mount Somma and offered in both dry and passito versions, where the sugar concentration enhances its character. This articulation places the winery at the intersection of some of Campania's most unique terroirs, capable of coexisting within a few kilometers. Villa Regina does not offer public visits, but its wines nonetheless allow one to discern, glass after glass, how the same volcanic origin can speak three distinct languages without ever losing its unique imprint.
