Erbicella Giuseppe tends peach orchards in Leonforte, at the heart of Enna's inland plateau, where the Sicilian Pesca di Leonforte IGP matures into autumn. The fruit's late harvest—September through November—develops a singular sweetness in the island's cool microclimates. Each peach is bagged on the branch to protect it during this extended ripening, a technique that defines the protected designation across five municipalities and sets this slow-harvest peach apart from earlier commercial varieties.
