Marchesi Gondi

Marchesi Gondi's Tenuta Bossi in Rufina has produced wine since 1592, now in its 25th generation of ownership. The 315-hectare estate sits between 200 and 400 metres elevation in the Chianti Rufina hills, 18 kilometres northeast of Florence—a zone recognised for viticulture since Etruscan times. The vineyard encompasses 19 hectares dedicated to Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano, and Canaiolo Nero, with a Renaissance villa and historic cellars anchoring the property. The family's commitment to terroir shapes distinctive Toscano IGT wines in bianco, rosso, and rosato styles. Tastings and visits welcome guests to experience this layered heritage.
