Tenuta di Lilliano traces its roots to a medieval fortified village in Castellina in Chianti, where the Church of Santa Cristina still stands with its distinctive limestone-framed façade. The estate occupies this historic site, which once passed through the hands of the Marquis of Tuscany and the Abbey of Poggibonsi, marking centuries of stewardship across contested borderlands between Siena and Florence. Today, it produces Chianti Classico from Sangiovese and complementary red varieties, welcoming visitors to taste and explore the vineyard's layered past.
