Bentivoglio

Bentivoglio rises from the flat, silt-rich expanses of the Bolognese plain, a fertile landscape shaped by the Reno River basin. Here, four dedicated local producers harvest the distinct agricultural treasures of this terrain, contributing to the area's 17 protected denominations. The sandy, alluvial soils are particularly suited for cultivating the delicate Asparago verde di Altedo IGP and the starch-rich Patata di Bologna DOP. On the viticultural side, these lowlands yield the light, sparkling notes of Reno DOC wines. This specific terroir transforms the alluvial plains of the Reno Galliera territory into a powerhouse of certified gastronomic heritage.
