Perched over 500 meters above sea level in the granite-sculpted highlands of Alta Gallura, Luras channels its breezy, high-elevation climate into a selection of 16 protected food and wine denominations. This elevated Sardinian terroir shapes the highly local Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, a crisp, mineral-rich white wine cultivated across a restricted zone of 23 municipalities. The granite soils and sharp temperature swings also define Colli del Limbara IGT. Here, high-altitude vineyards extract intense aromatics from the rugged soils, ensuring that every bottle reflects the unique, wind-swept character of this specific Gallurese mountain enclave.
