Telti, home to just over two thousand residents in the rocky highlands of Sardinia’s Gallura Nord-Est province, thrives on weathered granite soils ideal for viticulture. This specific geology yields the celebrated Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, a mineral-rich white wine restricted to a production zone of only 23 municipalities. The windy, high-altitude terrain also shapes Colli del Limbara IGT, another highly localized specialty. In total, Telti’s distinct microclimates foster 16 protected denominations, including island-wide reds and traditional aromatic spirits that reflect the rugged character of the surrounding Mediterranean scrub.
