In the wind-swept heights of Nuoro, the tiny Sardinian village of Osidda, home to just over 200 residents, shapes its culinary identity from a rugged landscape. Despite its small size, this community shares in 15 protected denominations that define the island's gastronomic heritage. Here, the granite-carved terroir nurtures vines destined for the prized Provincia di Nuoro IGT, a wine designation limited to 100 local municipalities. This high-altitude pastureland also yields the milk for Fiore Sardo DOP, a smoky, raw sheep's milk cheese that captures the untamed essence of the surrounding scrubland.
