Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico

In 1961, seventeen winemakers from Gaiole in Chianti founded Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico, driven by the conviction that the fate of wine was inseparable from that of the territory. The consortium now boasts sixty members, all deeply rooted in the Chianti DOCG area, which spans 67 municipalities in Tuscany. Their Sangiovese-based red wines, produced according to protocols that set a minimum alcohol content of 11.5%, bear the hallmark of a cooperative choice. This choice has had an impact beyond the company's borders: by pooling vineyards and cellars, the members have helped consolidate Chianti's international reputation, forging a single image of the wine and the landscape that produces it. This is not an abstract philosophy but a daily practice, evident in the consistency of their bottles. The winery welcomes visitors and offers tastings throughout the year: stopping here means tasting not just a Sangiovese, but the result of over sixty years of shared work among those who believed that an individual vine was worth more within a collective project.
