Alife Agricola operates from Piedimonte Matese, spanning five Campanian denominations. This diverse range includes three DOCs—Falerno del Massico, Aversa, and Galluccio—and two IGTs, Terre del Volturno and Roccamonfina. The Casertano area boasts a geography of volcanic soils, which the company interprets vine by vine rather than flattening into a single stylistic approach. For reds, they work with Aglianico and Piedirosso, the backbone of their Falerno del Massico and Galluccio versions, including structured Riserva wines that age for at least twelve months before release. On the white side, Asprinio dominates, a grape that gives Aversa its nervous, mineral acidity. The two IGTs, on the other hand, offer more agile and immediate expressions, designed for everyday enjoyment. Each denomination corresponds to its own microclimate and distinct regulations, and Alife makes this a method: not just a catalog of labels, but a thoughtful mapping of a territory where a few dozen kilometers are enough to radically change the character of the wine.
