Carmignano DOCG

Fattoria Ambra manages 24 hectares distributed across four of Carmignano's most recognized crus, under the guidance of the Romei Rigoli family since the mid-20th century. The vineyards stretch near the Ombrone river and the Medici Villa of Poggio a Caiano, in an area whose regulations date back to Cosimo III de' Medici's edict of 1716, among the first acts of wine protection in Europe. Here, Sangiovese leads the DOCG blends, flanked by Canaiolo nero and Cabernet Franc, a presence in Carmignano rooted in centuries of local tradition. The aging of at least twenty months works on the structure and depth that distinguish the denomination, yielding classic reds with a clean profile. These are wines that embody the essence of a place where Medici geography and a long viticultural vocation continue, glass after glass, to guide both hand and outcome.
