ATTILIO GHISOLFI s.s.a
Monforte d'Alba · Province of Cuneo · Piemonte
Nebbiolo is the common thread at Attilio Ghisolfi, interpreted through parcels scattered between Monforte d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto, and La Morra. The Barolo originates from the blending of recent plantings in the Bussia subzone and historic vineyards at Visette, a sector documented since the 12th century: a minimum of forty-eight months of aging builds its structure and complexity. The same grape returns, with a different register, in the Barbaresco from the four municipalities, where the territory dictates different timings and proportions. Alongside the great Nebbiolo reds, the range expands to include Dolcetto: the Diano d'Alba version, linked to its namesake territory, and the Dogliani, both DOCG, reveal the more immediate and everyday face of the Langhe. Four denominations that draw a coherent geography, from the hills suited for Barolo to the slopes of Dolcetto. The winery is open for visits and tastings: stop by to sample these expressions in sequence and understand how the same hand interprets different soils and grape varieties.
