Averoldi Francesco

In Bedizzole, in the Garda hinterland of Valtènesi, Francesco Averoldi makes wine where his family has worked for generations, in cellars with thick walls and a constant microclimate. His production covers three denominations of different styles: the San Martino della Battaglia DOC, a white centered on Tocai Friulano; the more versatile Benaco Bresciano IGT, which ranges from whites, reds, and rosés made from Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Riesling Renano; and the Riviera del Garda Classico DOC, where Groppello, Marzemino, and Barbera form the red wine range. The three labels tell the story of a border territory, where the temperate lake climate brings together vineyards, olive groves, and citrus trees in a landscape rare for Lombardy. It's not a random assortment but a map of what the Brescia Garda region can offer, from whites to rosés and even reserve reds.
