On the hills of Scanzorosciate, at the gates of Bergamo, Ippolita Lucchetti's vineyard grapples with Scanzo DOCG, the most stringent denomination in Lombardy's winemaking. Five and a half hectares of Moscato di Scanzo are expressed in two contrasting styles: a dry version and a *passito*, the latter aged for at least twenty-four months until it reaches a minimum alcohol threshold of 17%. It is a winemaking process that demands patience and allows no shortcuts. Acquired by the Bergamelli family in the 1990s, the estate underwent complete replanting and expansion, which today translates into six distinct wines, all anchored to this unique local grape variety.
