Azienda Agricola di Trimboli Bruno

In Platì, on the hills of the province of Reggio Calabria, Azienda Agricola di Trimboli Bruno operates where Nerello and Mediterranean grape varieties ripen under a Tyrrhenian sun. The winery is distributed across four geographical indication denominations—Pellaro, Costa Viola, Palizzi, and Locride—each linked to a different microclimate within the same province, so that four IGTs become as many interpretations of the same strip of Calabria. The resulting range is deliberately broad: bold reds reaching 13% alcohol, delicate whites, and well-structured rosés. It is a spectrum that serves to showcase the still-underexplored complexity of the Calabrian terroir, held together by an approach that combines ancient local winemaking with more contemporary control tools. Four acronyms, therefore, not as an exercise in quantity but as a way to let slopes, exposures, and soils speak separately, which the single name of the region would otherwise tend to merge into one voice.
