In Belforte del Chienti, Azienda Agricola Marchesi Serlupi Crescenzi stands out for its ability to simultaneously operate across four Marche DOCG denominations, a rare breadth for a single producer. Two are expressions of Verdicchio in its Riserva version—Matelica and Castelli di Jesi, both aged eighteen months—which compare two interpretations of the same white grape variety. The other two shift the focus to reds: Vernaccia nera di Serrapetrona, available as sparkling and still versions, and the structured wines of Cònero. This plurality is not dispersion but an exercise in knowledge: bringing together long-aged whites, sparkling wines from black grapes, and full-bodied reds requires different technical precision for each type. Marche's geography thus enters the glass in multiple forms simultaneously, and the winery positions itself as an attentive interpreter of its terroirs, capable of adapting its winemaking approach to the typicality that each denomination imposes.
