AZIENDA AGRICOLA VERRONE VITICOLTORI DI VERRONE ANTONIO

On a terraced slope of Agropoli, overlooking the Cilento coast at the edge of the National Park, Verrone Viticoltori has cultivated thirteen hectares since 1967 using low-impact techniques. Five protected origins define its scope: the wines of the `Cilento DOC` and `Castel San Lorenzo DOC` denominations, supported by `IGT Paestum` and `Colli di Salerno`, are based on grape varieties deeply rooted in these lands such as `Aglianico`, `Barbera`, and `Piedirosso`. It's a range that balances the strict rules of the `DOC`s with the interpretive freedom of the geographical indications. Alongside wine, the fifth denomination extends the work beyond the glass: the `Cilento DOP` extra virgin olive oil, recognizable by its green-yellow color and bitterish, spicy aromas, expands the catalog from vineyard to olive grove. This choice speaks of a hillside agriculture that doesn't separate crops but views them as expressions of the same landscape. The result is a coherent company profile, where the personality of Cilento wines and oil arises from the same terraced land and the same family vision.
