In Civitanova Marche, where the company's name recalls a spring that flowed beyond the walls of the medieval village, Fonte Zoppa extends its vineyards from Porta Marina all the way to the Adriatic. The winery works with two contrasting terroirs: the marine horizon of Civitanova and the Serrapetrona hills, at the foot of the Sibillini mountains. From this dual geography arise four controlled guarantee denominations, all from Marche. The portfolio brings together different worlds. Vernaccia di Serrapetrona is offered in both sparkling and red versions; Cònero, made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese, requires twenty-four months of mandatory aging; two Verdicchio reserves—Verdicchio di Matelica and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi—demand at least eighteen months before release. Structured reds and long-lived whites thus coexist under the same banner, each tied to its specific soil type. The winery is open for visits: booking a tasting allows one to experience the distance between the Marche coast and mountains in a single sip.
