BOGLIETTI CLAUDIO Az. Agr.
La Morra · Province of Cuneo · Piemonte
In La Morra, one of the great names of the Langhe, Claudio Boglietti cultivates south-facing slopes where Nebbiolo and Dolcetto find ideal conditions. His work spans four protected denominations and covers the entire expressive range of the territory, from wines for immediate drinking to reds for long aging. At the pinnacle is Barolo, which requires thirty-eight months of aging to achieve balance, alongside Barbaresco among the great Nebbiolo wines; on the other side, Dolcetto, including Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani, brings fruitiness and immediacy. Each wine echoes the mineral signature of the Langhe soil, but in different registers: lightness and vibrancy in the Dolcetto wines, depth and longevity in the Nebbiolo. It's an interpretation of Piedmont that, while not open to the public, can be fully deciphered in the glass, like a catalog ordered by weight and duration, from the everyday sip to the bottle to be forgotten in the cellar for years.
