A few kilometers from La Morra, amidst hazelnut groves and rows of vines, the Viberti family has run Braide since 1968, in a landscape inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list. The winery produces four Langhe DOCG wines: from Nebbiolo come Barolo and Barbaresco, aged for thirty-eight and twenty-six months respectively; from Dolcetto come Dogliani and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, more immediate and everyday reds. This quartet outlines the entire spectrum of Langhe reds, from long-aging wines to those for immediate drinking. The winery also offers accommodation: four rooms nestled in the hills allow guests to stay, combining tastings and local flavors with rural hospitality. Those who visit La Morra can thus experience, in the same place, the distance and connections between a Barolo meant for aging and a Dolcetto for the table, with the UNESCO heritage vineyards forming the horizon.
