BROCANI GIUSEPPE
Staffolo · Province of Ancona · Marche
In Staffolo, among the Ancona hills, Brocani Giuseppe has for three decades focused his work on four guaranteed denominations (DOCG), all vinified exclusively from estate-owned vineyards. The range embraces the two faces of Verdicchio—Matelica and Castelli di Jesi, in their Riserva versions aged at least eighteen months—alongside the reds and sparkling wines of Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, made from Vernaccia Nera, and Cònero, where Montepulciano and Sangiovese give structure to the flagship red of the coast. This project brings together diverse styles: the mineral tension of the Marche white wines, the uniqueness of a rare red sparkling wine like that of Serrapetrona, and the power of Cònero. Tying it all together is the family management, which oversees every phase from vineyard to bottle, seeking its measure in typicity—not standardization. Brocani thus interprets the Marche wine region as a plural territory, where four denominations, distinct in grape variety and style, coexist under the same hand, each treated according to its inherent character.
