Campo al Pero

Founded in 2006 by Maurizio and Doriana Cerbaro Piccoli, the company oversees a corner of Castagneto Carducci's geologically complex terroir, where fluvial, marine, and volcanic soils alternate just a few kilometers from the Tyrrhenian coast. It is this stratified minerality, more than the trend of the moment, that guides each vintage: the wine truly tells of its origin. Two denominations define the work in the cellar, both red and rooted in the same strip of maritime Tuscany: the Bolgheri DOC and its most celebrated subzone, the Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC, where the Bordeaux blend finds one of its most recognized Italian interpretations. The pedological diversity of the area thus becomes a matter of expression, translated into wines that prioritize the identity of the soil over the pursuit of consensus. Alongside the reds, Vermentino and rosé also find their place, but it is in the articulation of the two DOCs that the company measures its fidelity to the place, vintage after vintage, without chasing trends.
