Chianti Classico DOCG

Candialle cultivates the southern edge of the Conca d'oro, near Panzano, where Galestro soil and south-facing slopes, between three hundred and three hundred and sixty meters, nourish a late-ripening Sangiovese. The territory, shaped like a natural amphitheater, gathers the conditions that the Chianti Classico's principal grape variety demands: exposure, altitude, and drainage combine in a demanding microclimate, which the winery accommodates rather than forces. This single denomination also underpins a collective choice. The winery is a member of the union of Panzano winemakers, which promotes organic viticulture on a regional scale: a shared commitment that links the individual vineyard to a broader community of producers. In this context, agronomic rigor is not a whim, but a coherent response to an environment that offers no shortcuts. Candialle's late-ripening Sangiovese thus becomes the precise translation of a circumscribed place and its rules, where sustainability is both a working method and a condition of the terroir.
