Cantina Sociale di Viadana

A long-standing cooperative in the Mantua area, Cantina Sociale di Viadana encompasses four distinct denominations across the lowlands of Lombardy. Two DOCs form its backbone — the Lambrusco Mantovano of Viadana origin and the Garganega-based whites of Garda Colli Mantovani — while two IGTs, Provincia di Mantova and Quistello, broaden its scope. Overall, the served geography ranges between twenty-one and sixty-four municipalities. The portfolio reflects the plains: dry reds, soft rosés, and late harvest expressions, resulting from diverse choices regarding the grapes and in the cellar. This is the advantage of the cooperative scale, capable of bringing together styles that a single winery would hardly cover, in a territorial band often overlooked by oenological maps. The winery is open for visits all year round: it's worth a stop to see firsthand how collective expertise and shared volumes shape the wine of this part of Lombardy.
