Cantine Pellegrino

Marsala · Province of Trapani · Sicilia

🏡 Tastings & visitsSicilia IGPSicilia DOC

For over 140 years, Cantine Pellegrino has been narrating Sicilian viticultural identity from its base in Marsala, deeply rooted in the island's western viticulture. The winery works with Nero d'Avola, Frappato, and international grape varieties in the Sicilia zone, expressed both as an extensive DOC covering 391 municipalities and in the broader IGP version: two denominations that encompass reds, whites, and rosés, reaching at least 12% alcohol. This portfolio is designed to map the entire island rather than a single subzone, where the regional label becomes a tool to interpret different terroirs through bottle and glass. The continuity of a century-old operation is measured here by its ability to unite indigenous and international varieties without losing sight of the territory. Visitors can explore the company's historic cellars and see firsthand how this interpretation of Sicilian terroir comes to life: a stop in Marsala allows one to tour the aging environments and taste the Sicilia DOC and IGP expressions side by side.
