Barbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG

Few wineries simultaneously manage three of Piedmont's most demanding denominations: Cascina Carlot oversees Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, Terre Alfieri, and Barbera d'Asti, all with the DOCG label. The range moves from the mineral whites of Arneis to the structured Nebbiolo of Terre Alfieri, passes through a Barbera d'Asti that requires at least four months of aging, and arrives at Ruchè, a rare red born in only seven municipalities of Monferrato that tolerates no imprecision in the cellar. The thread that binds together whites, Nebbiolo, and the two Asti reds is the interpretation of the terroir within strictly defined perimeters: each area imposes its own rules, and the winery responds by adapting maturation and timing rather than standardizing styles. The result is a repertoire that measures the distance between a taut Arneis and a niche Ruchè without ever flattening it, returning for each bottle the profile of its soil of origin. It is a portrait of a territory read through differences, not sums.
