Castello di Montepò

Castello di Montepò commands 600 hectares across Scansano's rolling Maremma, where Sangiovese and other Tuscan dark-skin varieties find their expression in Morellino di Scansano DOCG. The medieval fortification—originally a feudal stronghold—now guards 50 planted hectares where terroir and vine cultivar converge. Jacopo Biondi Santi shaped the estate's winemaking vision within this landscape of woods, olives, and small rises that stretch toward the horizon. Open to visitors and tastings, the castle remains a custodian of viticultural culture in one of Tuscany's most authentic regions.
