De Puppi

De Puppi's Moimacco estate commands three Friuli-Venezia Giulia denominations: the honeyed Ramandolo DOCG from Verduzzo Friulano grapes; the mineral Rosazzo DOCG blending Friulano, Sauvignon, and white varieties; and the rare Picolit DOCG, both dry and passito styles. The family, descended from the medieval Guidi counts of Tuscany—figures cited by Dante himself—migrated north in the 1200s to establish their Friuli lineage. Over centuries as landholders, they shaped the region's political and ecclesiastical institutions. Today, the estate remains rooted in that legacy of territorial stewardship, welcoming visitors to taste wines shaped by northeast Italian terroir.
